रासायनिक संरचना के निर्धारण का अर्थ रसायनज्ञ द्वारा आण्विक ज्यामिति निर्दिष्ट करना, और यदि सम्भव हो और आवश्यक हो तो, उसकी इलेक्ट्रॉनिक संरचना भी निर्दिष्ट करना। आणविक ज्यामिति के अन्तर्गत अणु में परमाणुओं की स्थानिक व्यवस्था के साथ-साथ उन परमाणुओं को एक साथ रखने वाले रासायनिक आबन्धों को भी दर्शाया जाता है। आणविक ज्यामिति को संरचना सूत्र तथा आणविक मॉडल के द्वारा निरूपित किया जा सकता है।
